How to be a good person

  • Have self respect : No one will respect, let alone " look up " to you, if you don't have self respect. People who lack self-respect tend to be obvious and spineless, which defeats the whole purpose of being a role mode. Respect yourself
  •  Respects other : This is obvious as well, but if you have respect of other people (their own right of being) then you'll likely have respect reciprocated.
  •   Set goals for yourself : If it helps, write them down on a piece of paper, or letter yet , start a journal. This will open up your introspective side, and allow you to better understand yourself from an objective starting point
  •  Find a role model : Role models are a great source of inspiration and their stories can make us feel strong when times get tough. Once you found a role model, read one of his or her looks or biographies, learning about this person's educational struggles will prepare you for the road ahead.
  •  Learn to control anger and jealousy : These emotions are a part of life but if you constantly feel angry or jealouse toward others, you are going to have a difficult time finding happiness.

Rather than constantly comparing yourself to people who you think are better off than
you , take some time to acknowledge the fact that there are countless people in the world                      who are worse off than you. What's more there are people out there who have less than                        you, but who are ever more appreciative!!

Be appreciative : Stop spending a lot of your time to obsessing over the things you wish                       you had. Instead count and appreciate the thing you do have. You might be surprised if                         you actually focus on what is already good and helpful in your life.

Karatoya River

Karatoya River (also spelt Korotoa River) (Bengali: করতোয়া নদী), a small stream in Rajshahi Division of Bangladesh, was once a large and sacred river. A channel of it presently flows by the ancient ruins of Mahasthangarh (or Pundranagara, ancient capital of Pundravardhana) in Bogra District. The Karatoya mahatmya bears testimony to its past greatness. In the Mahabharata it is mentioned that a visit to the Karatoya after three days’ fast produces the same merit as an aswamedha (horse killing) sacrifice. Another ancient city, Sravasti, may have been located on the banks of the Karatoya, north of Mahasthangarh. However, there is a controversy about the possible location of Sravasti.

The Karatoya, known as Phuljhur rises in the Baikunthapur jungles in the extreme north-west of Jalpaiguri district (West Bengal, India) and forms for some distance the boundary between Dinajpur and Rangpur districts. It, then, meanders through Rangpur and Bogra. In the south of Bogra district, it receives the Halhalia and the united stream is then known as Phuljhar. It leaves Bogra at Chanda kona and flowing in a southerly direction past Raiganj and Shujapur is joined by the Ichhamati at Nalka. The Phuljhur then flows south past the important village of Ullapara, a few miles below which it joins the Hurasagar at Narnia after a course of about 64 kilometres (40 mi) in this district. After this junction, it takes the name of Hurasagar and passing close by Shahzadpur and Hera joins the Jamuna near Bera.

Bogra Airport

Bogra Airport (ICAO: VGBG) is a public use airport 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) northwest of Bogra, Bangladesh. It is operated by the Bangladesh Air Force. As of July 2015, no scheduled passenger flights serve the airport, but civil air operations are allowed with prior approval.

The airport was dedicated on 12 March 2005.According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), airlines do not serve Bogra because demand is too low for a route to be commercially viable without smaller aircraft than those the airlines operate. The Independent reported a senior CAAB official as saying, "If the airlines are not interested in using our airports, we can't force them to." The same official said a government subsidy could convince airlines to use Bogra. As it is now, airport staff are paid without having to work.

The Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty was a joint effort between France and the United States, intended to commemorate the lasting friendship between the peoples of the two nations. The French sculptor Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi created the statue itself out of sheets of hammered copper, while Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel, the man behind the famed Eiffel Tower, designed the statue’s steel framework. The Statue of Liberty was then given to the United States and erected atop an American-designed pedestal on a small island in Upper New York Bay, now known as Liberty Island, and dedicated by President Grover Cleveland in 1886. Over the years, the statue stood tall as millions of immigrants arrived in America via nearby Ellis Island; in 1986, it underwent an extensive renovation in honor of the centennial of its dedication. Today, the Statue of Liberty remains an enduring symbol of freedom and democracy, as well as one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks.

The Statue of Liberty Over the Years

Until 1901, the U.S. Lighthouse Board operated the Statue of Liberty, as the statue’s torch represented a navigational aid for sailors.
